Open Farm Day - Farm Tour

Are you looking for a fun and educational day out? At Greenlands Farm, HOOF invites you to experience the joy of meeting adorable farm animals up close! Imagine spending time with a miniature cow, playful goats, fluffy rabbits, and friendly chickens. Each animal has unique stories to share, teaching you about animal science and welfare. It’s perfect for families and friends wanting to connect with nature and learn something new.

Not only do you get to meet these wonderful animals, but you also learn about sustainable farming practices that help our planet. Understanding how we can care for animals and the environment is important for everyone, especially children. It’s a chance to bond with loved ones while exploring the joys of farm life. Don't miss this amazing opportunity to create lasting memories!

Your tour will be around 40-50 minutes (each tour starting on the hour), full of information on farm animal science (including animals like goats, ponies, cows, rabbits, chickens, llamas, and pigs) and sustainable homestead farming. The Greenlands Farm will share about organic produce and their various compost techniques will be discussed. Enjoy more time with the animals before and after your tour in the petting farm!

Our public group tours are normally $10 per person, we are suggesting a special donation for our community of only $5 per guest!

Tour 1: 10am – 10.55am, $5 per guest suggested donation
Tour 2: 11am – 11.55am, $5 per guest suggested donation
Tour 3: 12pm – 12.55pm, $5 per guest suggested donation

Our tips for making your visit the most enjoyable:

  • Read ALL our rules for the farm. Our farm is interested in the safety of you and our animals, we want you to leave with a positive experience. We have been operating tours since 2012, we have these rules in place for a reason.

  • Arrive at least 10-15 minutes early. Your tour will start and leave on time.

  • Come dressed for the weather, in clothes that you won’t mind finding mud or manure on at the end of the day. Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes to protect your feet and make it easier to walk on any uneven ground.

  • Stay with your group. Wandering guests are not appreciated and could get hurt.

  • Remember this is a working farm with a family that lives on the farm, be respectful of their property as you would want others to be of yours. You are invited as a guest to their home.

  • If you have a kid who doesn’t like to walk, bring a stroller. We suggest you sanitize the wheels after your tour, bring wipes or spray with you.

  • Ask LOTS of questions when prompted! Your tour guide is knowledgeable, take advantage of them 🙂
