Hand feeding baby goats, connecting with animals in a fun way!

Come out for a fun-filled time and enjoy an up close encounter with a variety of farm animals. Scratch a goat’s back and learn some interesting animal facts (like do goats actually eat tin cans or do pigs really stink?). Helpers Of Our Farm is an educational experience: learn about our rescue animals, where they come from, what they like, and learn how to be more responsible pet owners. Come and see…when we love, we grow.

FAQs:

Why do we charge for admission?  Our admission fees are one of the ways HOOF pays for vet care (vaccinations, medications, teeth care, farm calls, emergencies), farrier services (equine feet care), basic needs (supplements, food, hay, fly control), pasture maintenance and upkeep, tack (halters, saddles, grooming supplies), and our educators.  So when you visit us, give our animals a hug because they love you.

Why is the petting farm closed on some Saturdays? The farm’s operation hours are subject to weather. Conditions for cancellations include rain, recent excessive rain (making the farm too wet to walk), or extreme cold or hot weather.  This is for your safety and the safety of our animals.  Another reason we may close the petting farm is lack of staff and/or volunteers to run the petting farm.  Please follow our facebook page to keep updated or call Greenlands Farm Store at 910.253.7934 to check for cancellations.

We are a small operation, depending on the charity of people’s time and investment; we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding when things go not quite as planned.
